This luminous celestial body which gives our planet its light, heat, basically it's life has been depicted in ancient sun symbols which can be found all over the world in just about every culture there is. Native People of the Americas revered all of the skies heavenly bodies, but the Sun in particular was most important. The Summer and Winter Solstice are both important events in native life. Reference to the sun is included in songs, dances, prayers and also painted on pottery, on canyon walls as petroglyphs or a pictographs and represented by the Hopi Sun Kachina
