Description

For Native Americans, nature is a gift from the Creator, and in their unique, handcrafted works of art they celebrate this incredible gift.

Butterflies and dragonflies are special creatures seen as messengers, speaking to the thunder and clouds to bring moisture and blessings to the people. They are also associated with strength and healing. This image is inspired by the sight of butterflies as they dance among the flowers at spring time. With the flower as the central theme, a variety of butterflies come to gather and dance. A 10 x 8 double-matted print .

Dalton James is a self-taught artist from Hopi Pueblo, and is a member of the Tobacco Clan from the village of Hotevilla in northeastern Arizona.
