Jemez Pueblo artist Bonnie Fragua-Johnson handcrafted this seated storyteller figurine with six children and a dog. Each child and dog are hand-painted with unique elements and expressions bringing them all together as one.

Storytellers celebrate the Pueblo tradition of passing down stories, lessons, and teachings orally with either an elder or animal figure surrounded by young to represent the act of storytelling.
