Kenneth Johnson is a Muscogee/Seminole jewelry designer and metalsmith known for his sophisticated work in copper, silver, gold, platinum and palladium. His signature style of contemporary jewelry incorporates Southeastern motifs and the melding of old and new methods and techniques. His designs often feature bold combinations of stampwork and engraving, as well as coins and bead-set gemstones. Johnson is known for the his attention to detail and technical expertise, and he currently integrates state of the art CAD/CAM technology into his design process to continue his evolution as a Native metalsmith. His work is characterized by a constant pursuit of creative innovation in the use of precious metals. His high level of skill and sophisticated design aesthetic are often displayed in his signature crescent-shaped gorgets (multi-tiered crescent shaped necklaces) and statement cuff bracelets. Johnson lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife and children.
