Chrislyn Fragua Koshare Clown Storyteller with One Child

In this unique piece, Jemez Pueblo potter Chrislyn Fragua handcrafted a playful Koshare complete with cornhusk in a seated position with one child in lap enjoying a slice of watermelon. This whimsical handcrafted figurine is heirloom piece to treasure for generations.

Chrislyn is known for the attention to detail as well the traditional methods used in creating each piece using natural clay, the traditional coil and pinch methods, and then hand-painting with natural pigments. Each of these steps takes time and demonstrates the artist's mastery of traditional pottery-making methods.
