This beautiful carving by Zuni Pueblo artist Justin Natewa, was created with detail and precision. Hand carved from pipestone with inlaid turquoise eyes, this Sea Turtle is a beautiful representation of an ancient art.

Turtles are said to represent longevity and is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth and represent water. With its mighty shell, the turtle is also a symbol of safety and the ability to adapt to new situations and environments easily.
