Handcrafted by Zuni Pueblo artists Jose and Dora Massie, this belt buckle celebrates a storied history of jewelry-making. Made using the channel inlay style, this beautifully crafted belt buckle features gemstones of black jet, blue turquoise, mother of pearl and coral cut and carefully set into sterling silver with beads of sterling silver to add additional textural elements. The meaningful design features a sun face symbol and sun rays radiating out from the center.
Channel inlay is a distinctive jewelry technique closely associated with Native American people of the Southwest, particularly Zuni jewelers.
